Sloe Down recipe
Bartender Cameron Matthews serves up our June cocktail of the month, the Sloe Down.
You’ll need a champagne flute and a bar spoon.
Ingredients
25ml Sipsmith sloe gin
20ml Aperol
15ml strawberry and rhubarb shrub
5ml lemon juice
Prosecco
Garnish: 3 orange slices, strawberry (sliced into three), mint sprig
Method
– Add the sloe gin, aperol, strawberry and rhubarb shrub and lemon juice to a champagne flute
– Add a small amount of crushed ice, the orange and strawberry slices
– Add a little more crushed ice, then carefully mix with a bar spoon
– Top with Prosecco and garnish with a mint sprig
