Aztec Nectar recipe
Bartender Rob Quinn has created our July cocktail of the month, the Aztec Nectar. Based on a classic Paloma, Rob swaps the tequila for it’s smokier cousin, mezcal.
You’ll need a Boston shaker, Hawthorn strainer and a highball glass.
Ingredients
35ml mezcal
15ml lime juice
15ml raspberry purée
25ml grapefruit juice
37.5ml pineapple juice
7.5ml pomegranate molasses
Squeeze of agave syrup
Soda water
Garnish: pink grapefruit wedge, slice of lime, sprig of mint
Method
– Add all of the ingredients except the soda water and pink grapefruit wedge to a Boston shaker and shake with ice
– Single strain into a highball glass filled with cubed ice
– Top up with soda water and garnish
