Whisky and watches event
We’re excited to be joined by some of our friends for a special St Andrew’s Day event on Thursday 30 November 2017 from 6-8.30pm. Our friends are well-known in the city and all share a passion for the finer things in life: some of the world’s finest luxury timepieces, specialist cigars, handcrafted brogues and leather accessories. Plus we’ll be serving up a few fine drams of Talisker single malt Scotch whisky as well as our own award-winning whisky cocktails.
Richard Laing, Director and sixth generation of Scotland’s oldest family jeweller’s, Laing Edinburgh, will be previewing a selection of cufflinks as well as the latest watches from sought after brands including Rolex, IWC Shaufhausen and Omega among others. Laing was founded in 1840 and is widely recognised as the UK’s most respected independent family jeweller specialising in luxury jewellery and watches.
The Loake family have been traditional shoemakers since 1880, and Loake Shoemakers will be bringing along a beautiful collection of hand-crafted brogues for men and women as well as a range of leather accessories.
For nearly 150 years, Robert Graham 1874 has offered one of the largest selections of luxury rare whiskies, hand-rolled cigars, tobacco products and accessories. You’ll get the opportunity to enjoy a few drams of their exclusive award winning whisky bottlings and a chance to create and purchase your ultimate Christmas wish list.
We’re also going to be joined by a young Scottish entrepreneur who’ll be giving our guests a preview and tasting of PeatReekers, a new Islay blended malt, before its national unveiling next month.
The evening starts at 6pm in the Editor’s Bar before moving through to The Hanover Suite in The Principal Edinburgh George Street. While a free event, places are on a first come, first served basis – so if you’d like to attend, please email firstname.lastname@example.org, no later than Friday 23 November 2017.
