Burns Supper

To mark Robert Burns’ 260th birthday on 25 January 2019, we’ll be serving a four-course Burns supper with a menu full of seasonal, Scottish ingredients.

The celebration is particularly fitting, for the poet is believed to have spent time within the walls of our townhouse home with the Ferrier family who lived here in the 18th century. At the heart of the celebrations will be established and familiar features of a traditional Burns supper, including the time-honoured Address to the Haggis and a few wee drams! We’ve also got whisky expert Jamie Blackwood on hand to take you through each pairing.

 

Four-course Burns Supper

Cock-a-leekie soup

Smoked haggis, puréed neeps, crispy potato | dram of Highland Park 12-year-old whisky

Braised beef cheek, skirlie cake, spinach, glazed root vegetables, horseradish | dram of Auchentoshan American Oak whisky

Cranachan | Smoky French Martini

 

Four-course vegetarian Burns Supper

Spiced sweet potato soup, sour cream, marjoram

Vegetarian haggis, puréed neeps, crispy potato | dram of Highland Park 12-year-old whisky

Herb gnocchi, trompette mushrooms, pecorino | dram of Auchentoshan American Oak whisky

Pineapple carpaccio, passion fruit sorbet, mint jelly | Smoky French Martini
